    SFF Gaming

I was considering building a LAN PC in the form of a SFF PC, example being Shuttle. My question being, since i will most likely NOT be overclocking the system at all, should i go intel or should i go AMD. I am not a fanboy of either, im looking for stability. I will be using a ATI video card, most likely a 4850.

I wouldn't recommend AMD for any level, budget or high end. Intel has a big lead. You could get something with a P35 chipset and that ATI 4850.

DDR2 for sure. DDR3 is way too expensive.

I don't build many lan boxes, but this case looks cool.

Most LAN type cases don't have enough cooling, but that wouldn't be a problem with that case.

I see you went with the Phenom. Just curious as to why? Was it so you could hybridize your onboard graphics with the add in card?

that was the original intention, but seems the 4850 is incompatible with that function. Now running on Linux.
