Add & Remove - Nothing!
Got a strange one. Trying to clean my daughter's PC up a bit. I go to Control Panel/Add & Remove Programs, and nothing ever populates. I waited over 5 minutes and just had a blank window. Is there a way this can be hidden from view that I need to unlock?
Thanks

Okay I have mainly vista machines any more and they are different, but I went to my one XP Home machine and found that in control panel there are the new and "classic" views.... In Classic when you select Add and Remove the window will come up with four Icons to the left, you should be in the top one 'change or remove programs' and if you are and I expect you are then I think you need to Run AdAware and SpyBot SD If that doesn't do it. HiJack This might help. there are other programs on that link too.
I think someone has downloaded a trojan or spyware or malware to your computer
But it could be something simple, maybe a repair install (You won't lose much at all, put the CD in and re-boot from the CD let setup do its thing., reject repair until it takes you to the HDD, and then select repair. It will do a nearly normal install and eliminate any drivers so you'll have to update windows and do all the drivers.
Easier I think to try the above programs first.

Look for a scroll bar, there could be a large white space between the icons.
Check out Kelly's - Korner ... Add/Remove - White Space

Try Revo Uninstaller, see if it finds the installed programs. I started using it instead of the Windows Uninstaller.
