    HP Pavilion s3300f slimline to Windows XP

    I format my friend's HP Pavilion s3300f slimline to Windows XP. Now everything don't work.. network, sound, wireless,,

    i try to d/l the driver but hp.com only provide for the vista driver.. so is there any solution?

    You should have check for drivers BEFORE you loaded XP. XP won't have built-in drivers for newer hardware. You should have at least noted what devices were in Vista's device manager before formatting it.

    You're going to have to find out each component and try to download xp drivers from the manufacturer's site.

    Looks like the motherboard is an nvidia 430 chipset (6100), download their chipset drivers and see what's left.

    download Unknown Devices from the link on Tech tools. don't forget to download the latest pcidevs.txt file also.

    You cal also do a full system restre to Vista using the CDs and the do from there.

    my problem have been solved.. half.

    I download the 8.26_11.09_nforce_winxp_english which found the eternet driver, so now i can go online..

    Since this windows xp is 32bit and this CPU is AMD 64Bit.. lol i'm in bad situation. The Nvidia driver require the 64bit,, but it can't install czu the Xp is 32Bit. I d/l the 32bit Nvidia driver but can't install czu this is Amd 64Bit lol..

    you don't need to run 64bit drivers for an athlon64. it's dependent on the OPERATING SYSTEM. download and install the 32bit drivers.

    i d/l the Nvidia driver.. newest version.. 32bit and 64bit.. Both can't install

    the driver you downloaded for the ethernet card was the right set. what devices are you missing? Like I said, that will be SOME of the drivers you need, but not all.

    did you download the Unknown Devices application like I said?

    if anything, look at the vista drivers page. at least you'll know what hardware to look for.
