    Thanks for all your help with getting me up and going again

    Hey - do you know of any other tricks to tweak my computer to get a better score in 3dMark or better performance in my games?

    i got a 6600gt too,, AGP version,

    Well the only fps game i play is CS Source,,, and sometime i see some thing similar to your screenshot,.

    I think it could be the game's problem, BTW isn't 6600GT is BETTER than the 7600GS 256MB card,

    Aznmask - I updated the motherboard nforce chipset drivers and the issue went away... maybe you want to try this too.
