can you recommend a reasonable motehrboard

the motherboards died on my computer and my g/f's. i had an abit kt7a-raid, but the processor is old and only 900mhz, hers was an emachines so the processor only fits that small ****ty, overpriced motherboard.

so, i need a new motherboard that is reasonable considering i am going to have to get a new cpu. i would like it to have at least 3 ide ports for $100 or under

    thanks

You're going to have to use a very old board to get onboard support for six ATA hard drives (3 Ultra ATA cables). Probably Socket 478 or Socket A erra.

Make sure your new motherboard has to IDE connectors and then add a ATA 133 pci controller card.
How I do it. And this is the NON-Raid card i use.

Well It seems quite difficult to find a proper mobo for you, maybe the BIOSTAR P4M900M4 478 motherboard can be good for you, right now a deal on it is $65:
