    resize a partition....

    I found gParted worked VERY well...I re-sized a 40 gig (cloned XP partition) to 110 gigs with out a problem except my usb mouse wanted to lock up so I had to try 3 times before it worked... (anyone know if there's a mouse bug in gParted??)

    I prefer to use Partition Magic since it is problem free.

    Free programs are not always problem free as you have found out.

    I am trying to resize a partition and have tried to use Partiton magic and acronis disk director. neither one will let me use a mouse.

    Using a USB mouse? Go into bIOS and enable legacy mouse. That should fix it.
