    which motherboard

    Hi folks

I need to rebuild my system and want to use the Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4GHz CPU, and use my existing DDR 2700 ram.

I am not a gamer, my use is just basic, no overclocking.

Can you recommend a suitable motherboard? easy to set up raid is not required But IEEE connection is because I will do video editing.

    Thanks
    cami

Can't go wrong with boards made by ASUS.

Very doubtfull you'll be able to re-use the DDR sticks...Can get two gigs of DDR2 for under 75 bucks.

SRJ is exactly right. Your DDR is useless in anything new. I am running a pretty quick machine but I'd love to move up soon and I will. I am seeing this years tax return at the end of the tunnel. YeeHaw!!

Any Intel P35-based Asus board will be just fine.

Ideally, you want a board that can do 1333MHz FSB. That'll give you headroom for the future. The P35 boards others are recommending fit the bill.
