    System upgrade

Looking to do a CPU / mobo upgrade and wondering if anyone can suggest any?
Would I be better to go Intel or stay with AMD? Mostly gaming and video ripping/burning.

    GeIL 2GB PC3200 (4x256mb)
    nVidia 8600GTS 256mb

AMD = cheaper, but Intel has some faster stuff out. With that, it comes with a price though. I would definitely go with a dual core though. And keep no less than 2gb of RAM.

Video work, then you might want to check out this cpu chart.
    http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu_20...=882&chart=440

You can select to see the difference between a couple cpus and some programs. Should help out.

MSI, GIGABYTE ,Abit and ASUS in that order are the brands I recommend.

And you will be wanting to look at video cards, so . . .

Now there is a new NVidia 8800GT that you might want to see what the folks here have to say about it..
