Actually I would not vote and did not vote for either George Jr or AL Gore.

Both less than great politicians in my opinion.

Funny reading the previous posts, there is some basis for defending Al's nobel, but there is nothing left to defend of George Jr's failed and misguided imperialistic policies. At least Al did not invade a soveign country that was a thorn, but certainly NOT a threat to America, nor had anything* to do with 911*.

Only one worth a hoot in my opinon is Ron Paul !!!! At least he HAS read the constituition and IS interested in following it. AND he has a understanding of history and America's place in it, both our triumps and our failures! That is how I rate a real AMERICAN politician.

    David

    * as stated by George Jr himself.

During deep sleep IT came to me and the future of processing is clear.
Future processors will primarily be digital tuning radios acting as grid computing nodes.
    Voila. See ya in hell.

    Cheney, Obama 'distant cousins'

Lynne Cheney said she had discovered while doing family research for a new book that her husband and the Illinois senator were eighth cousins.

She said she traced a common ancestor of the two men to be a 17th century immigrant from France.

Giving Algore the Nobel Peace Prize is a kin to giving Disney's Goofy the Oscar for best acting award?

The following story is from 18th (NEI) Squadron Newsletter of July 1994:-
told by Nicholas Dijkstra about his life and about the bridge.
    http://home.st.net.au/~dunn/18sqnbridge.htm

This is mainly the story of myself, but also why a retired Dutchman living in Canada, flew twice under the Sydney Harbour Bridge in May 1942. I am aware what RenĂ© Wittert van Hoogland and Otto Ward have written about this 'stunt' way back - I own copies of their books, e.g. 'Het Vergeten Squadron' and ‘De Militaire Luchtvaart van het KNIL in de jaren 1942-1945', all I wish to say is that I do not write this from hearsay- I was there, I took part in it. Not really. Goofy earned his Oscar.

According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize should be awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
No mention of global warming or any other scientific/pseudoscientific subject matter in that qualification.
Thank God we're not getting all of the government we're paying for!
