Maybe we should turn this thread in to the official BioShock thread instead of starting a 2nd Thread maybe the mods can change the Heading?

One good source for those with problems is to maybe go to the 'Gamespot' gamesite and read over the things others had to do or say about the game. Several hints and fixes listed there.... Funny, as most all my input above were definitely in there as to the game playing. Drivers, turning off yur AV shield, and DX ARE important to update.

In most cases i normally have zero problems getting new games to run either. Is it luck?? I think its more our individual computers, whats running and how they are configured. lol

i had it on easy to get a feel for the game and to see if there was any bonus content that would be unlocked if you beat the game. Gonna play it on hard next.

It's working pretty good for me. Unfortunately, I'm having a sound stuttering issue. It's driving me nuts.

BTW, I'm in fort frolic. Haven't finished it yet.

Is man not entitled to the game he buys?

NO, says the man at Securom. It belongs to 2K.
NO, says the man at 2K. It belongs to us.
NO, says the man at Microsoft. It belongs to our license purchasers.

    I rejected those answers.

Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...piracy! Where the gamer would not be censored, where the PC owner would not be bound by petty encryption, where the buyer would not be constrained by corporate greed. And with the downloading of your torrents, piracy could become your salvation

    ---------------

I love the game but that hole SecuROM thing is ****
Stupid RootKit and only 2 installs, omg.

This is on XP 32-bit. I haven't heard of anyone else reporting this issue so it's driving me nuts.
