Upgrading to FIC VA-503+ but no display

I have an old system with a crappy motherboard. I decided to put a slightly better one in and thst one happened to be an FIC VA-503+. I plugged everything in the way it's supposed to be. Everything seemed fine except i got no display. My video card is fine because it still works with the old motherboard but now the old one freaks out when i use it too. My processor is a Pentium 166MHz. Now I read another thread about someone with almost exactly the same problem. And I admit I may have touched the contacts on the processor is that my problem. Thanks so much!!!!!!!

It could be RAM or the processor.

    Is everything plugged in correctly?

So much for the previous board being "****" and this one being "better" ...

Now is the right time to learn about troubleshooting.

First of all, is the board mounted correctly? No shorts, no standoffs where there shouldn't be one? Power supply hooked up correctly? Bent pins on CPU? Socket mechanically OK? DIMMs inserted all the way and the right way round? Etc. etc. etc. Start over!
