    shader model 3?

    at the moment i cannot play ' Dirt' because my vid card requires shader model 3. is it possible to upgrade the firmware or driver to enable this feature? or do i have to bin my expensive card and buy the latest? ( radeon x850 platinum)

    You need a card that is shader model 3 like the X1X00 series.
    Intel I5 750 @ 2.67 Ghz, 4gb GSkill DDR3 1600, GB P55M-UD2, XFX Radeon 5850. , Seagate Constellation ES 1 TB, Seasonic Gold 620w, Win Vista Ultimate, Toshiba 32" HDTV

    yup. and the X850 isn't considered "expensive" by today's standards.
