Right-click and Left-click are being reversed by computer; no viruses

This system is acting like it has a virus, but according to AVAST, it doesn't. It is reversing the RIGHT-click and the LEFT-click of the mouse, meaning you have to RIGHT-click to do the LEFT-click function.

I have not been able to scan it for spyware/malware yet, but could that be the cause? If not, what else could it be? Really surprised that it does not have a virus.

    Hello There

Have you checked the Mouse options to see if someone is playing a joke on you?

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Mouse. Check to see if Button Configuration is checked for reverse the buttons.

Why do you think that right/left reverse of mouse buttons is symptomatic of a virus?

OK. Thanks. The other reason why I suspected a virus is because the screen flickers a little, but that certainly could be other things, which I will check.
