XP default.wav0 on drive C ??
Can anyone tell me what default.wav0 and default.wav1 files are on drive C of XP system? Wav1 is 638237KB, which is pretty large.
Can these files be deleted? I had no clue what they are for, but wanted to check before I acted. Thanks.

I think it has something to do with Flash runtime apps.

Is it used by XP or one of the other apps? It's using a pretty good chunk of storage and I;d like to delete it.

It is used by XP when a website has Flash code. I wouldn't delete it.

The reason it seems odd is I don't have these files on either of the 2 other PC's I use, and I travel the same places and look at the same things online. I do have Macromedia's Flash player 8 on this PC, so why could I not delete it from my system through control panel and have this huge file removed. I mean, this flash player isn't detrimental to my system, correct.
Is M/S getting better at removing all their trash, or are they still the same in that regard? I've been on PC's since before Win95, so I have some previous knowledge but don't keep up as well anymore.

Try renaming the files. If the pc works ok for a while then zap em.
