    Upgrading from 7800Ultra to ?

Hi all, Am in the process of upgrading my system again but its been a good few years since last time and it looks like I need to change all the internals aprt from storage and optical drives.

Will be upgrading processor to an AMD 64 of some description, am so out of touch at the mo! Now im running an XP 3200 +. Also will be changing mobo to suit and getting at least 1gb of ddr2 ram.

So, Video cards.. I guess pciexpress is the way to go? Am not looking to go top of the tree...I did that with my 7800ultra. Just dont have top money available for this build.
Can you guys give me some pointers of what cards are going to play the latest games with high detail for a year or so without struggling.

    Thanks in advance.

I would wait until march when the midrange-lower tier Geforce 8 series come out. Those should provide a significant boost in speed from a 6800 ultra.

Or, you could go for the 8800 GTS 320MB without breaking the bank. Entirely up to you.

As per the above, wait for the 8xxx series to mature a bit more and for AMD to release the X2xxx series, they aint too far away and your 6800Ultra shoudlnt be on its last legs quite just yet.
