    Unknown USB device

I have a tiny camera with composite video output, which plugs into a USB converter. When I plug it into my Windows XP, Windows fails to find the driver for it. This USED to work, before a recent Windows "upgrade" destroyed my system a few months ago. I have lost the software that the camera came with, and there are absolutely no identifying marks or any writing on the camera to help in pinpointing its origin. Since this appears to the computer as a USB device, I though it should be able to find something suitable, but it cannot. Can anyone help? I liked it because it was so tiny.
    Thanks,

Nope, not without at least a name or model number.

Try plugging it into a Win2k PC and see if it picks up a name or device driver, then you would have somewhere to start looking.

You could also try Plugging it back into the USB ... then when it does not
see it properly, look in Device Manger for any ? marks .. then check the
Properties of them .. it May tell you something about it.

How old is it ? ? .. Do you recall when or where you got it ? ?
That store, may still have your records & might be able to tell you the Make

    It could be this one:

    or this one:

    Or this one:

Thanks, guys. That was very helpful. I discovered that the mystery device was a Belkin F5U208 video-2-USB converter. I found the driver, installed it, and all is fine.
    Thanks for your help!

The Zhangduo product seems to be a ripoff of this:
