    8800GTX on a 590SLI

Hey everybody. I have a E6600 on an ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium 590SLI motherboard and a 7950GT. I just want to know if the 8800GTXs are compatible with this motherboard, and if they are, is SLI still an option? Just a curiosity, perhaps I'd buy one if I get the money.

    Thanks

If it's PCI-E, then I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Yeah, but who knows what compatibility issues would come up with today's technology.

    I guess.

First, it's an Nvidia designed chipset. Second, it's the same PCI-E 16X platform that has been standard for over a year now.

If there are going to be any compatibility issues, my guess is it will more than likely be able to be fixed by either a new bios for the motherboard, or a driver update.

plus you might wanna make sure you have lots of room in your case for those cards, because they are huge, also to note, each card requires 2 PCIe power connectors.
