    new optical drive

Im building my new pc, and I am looking for a all in one burner that burns all dvd types and cd types and also offers lightscribe. Should I stick with IDE or go to SATA for the optical drive? Because Ive read some mixed opinions on SATA optical drives. And if theres a major price difference is it even worth it? Thanks

Sadly, optical drives will never use sata to even 1/10th of its speed potential. You are better off going with the old standard of IDE and the only reason they make sata optical drives is because they are slowly trying to phase it out. Try this burner.

The Benq DW1655 is solid for the price. It's rated higher than a plextor on www.cdrinfo.com. and that's saying something.

maybe so, but for the price and the time tested name of LiteOn says something too.
