Yes, as does everything down below the equator. Like Australia and south america.

And the toilets flush backwards too. Must make for some messy bathrooms.

The extremes in seasons are more apparent the further away from the equator you get. For instance, winters in texas are a lot more mild than those in Montana, just like in OZ, the northern states like queensland have a much nicer climate than where I live down south in victoria (but they also get a lot more humid which I hate).

As for the toilets fluching one way or the other, well, in OZ we use good toilets that just go straight down with no spin at all (we want that stuff as far away from as as fast as possible). I'm not sure of the kind of water guzzling loos you americans waste water with.

Actually, our toilets are low flow by law. However, some are poorly designed( not much anymore, but the early ones sucked) and when there's lumps in them, they can take 2 flushes, so it works out the same as if you have an old toilet.

All the US ones I've seen have a really high waterline in the bowl itself, so if you're partiucularly big 'down there' you'd almost have things dippin into the water.

Here, if your 'business' is scared of heights then its got a problem, as the drop can sometimes be almost a foot to the water

Fer that reason I've always had to stand on the toilet seats instead of sitting down.

Sure it ain't hydrodynamics? What's it do, vary the flush by contents?

(I know I'm gonna regret asking, I just know it)
