The Ads are getting out of control!!

I mean what the hell....get rid of the IBM ad or pretty soon you will have nobody actually at this site to view or click the ads which you generate revenue from!!

I mean I can hardly type this post without that IBM ad in the way

    Why don't we use them?

    Because this site is FREE!

This place doesn't run on its own so if I use this site I will leave most of the ads on and click on them from time to time. It is the decent thing to do. Well can't expect decent from you Zybch

I don't mind the ads so much(don't click on the bastards anyway) but this particular IBM ad seems very intrusive...

Actually...to be honest most of the ads are gone on my screen due to a different Ad blocker program.

The ad has been reported. A reminder, discussion of ad blocking software/techniques is not permitted on the forum.

You have to be schlitting me! The AUP states that?!
They aren't ads, they're irritating annoyances that only serve to pee people off!
I'd be prepared to bet that nobody here has ever actually clicked on one of them, especially not stupid HUGE content covering ones like IBM like to push onto us.

Ads done the way google does (with adsense) are just fine, huge monstrosities ARE NOT okay in ANY circumstance!

You think I'll ever buy an IBM product/service if they can't even make an ad that doesn't make me want to ram a baby puppy's head through my monitor to get rid of it!!!

I pay good money for my internet access, I refuse to have to pay more via intrusive ads to access content. Its akin to paying your $12.50 to go to a movie and have it interupted every 15-20 minutes by deodorant and cat food advertisments!

The closest I can come up with is:
You will not attempt to access any protected sections of the sites or Forums, nor make use of any hacks, cracks, bug exploits, etc. to bypass or modify the features of the forum software at any Jupitermedia site.
And intrusive advertisments sure as hell aren't a 'feature' of the forum software, especially in the contect of this particular section of the AUP!
