kind of a gaming issue...

Guy attacks people with battery-powered saws.
Is this because the guy played too much Doom or Serious Sam?

Should have posted this in off-topic, and honestly, I don't think it's very funny when people's lives are at risk.
It's not video games that cause this kind of behavior, because I play doom 3, UT2k4, splinter cell, and a lot of other first person shooters, and you don't see me going around gunning people down with rocket launchers or modified stealth weapons. When stuff like this happens, there's something wrong with people's heads, and it's not because of video games.

There are a number of people who have caused death/destruction and popular media has blamed that on gaming, whereas gamers think that the person was just crazy, and happened to like Doom, Duke Nukem, etc.
How many attacks occur with chainsaws? Not many that I have heard of. In fact, the only place I have actually seen this occurring is in video games. That is why I am wondering why the popular media hasn't latched onto this story and stated that "this person's favorite video game was Doom where attacking people with chainsaws is the norm".
I guess I should have originally posted in off-topic, like your post from 2003...

I'm sure just like watching a movie where someone is eating pizza will make me want to order one, a game like postal 2 can affect certain people who are a little screwy and make them want to go on a killing spree.

well it's not the game that should be blamed for someone going on a killing spree. i mean it's not like everyone who watches schwarzenegger movies goes killing people....even though it does bring a little bit of the terminator out of all of us :P

Some off the places I've worked at would have benefitted if a mad man with a gun had gone berserk.
How come Billforce was so smart back then.
What happened Bill, the altziemers kicking in now.
