I never said you couldn't. I would just appreciate it if J.M would take his clown nose off when he does.

I noticed that no one has addressed this particular problem. It's usually caused by jacking with the audio profile settings. In the case of Creative cards, use the EAX control panel to disable all reverb effects. The same goes for other brands of audio controllers. They all seem to have sound effects these days.

Murphy, does anyone else mess with your machine? Might want to check those sound settings. Otherwise, virus, spyware, malware, etc. Or maybe that cheapo onboard is dying. I know that the other day the wifes machine was making weird sounds, did a reboot and it all went away, had loaded the sound driver weird or something, was getting an echo.

If he has to reboot his router more than once every few monthsm, then maybe he should look into a router firmware upgrade.

My old Linksys gave me fits until I flashed it. Then it ran fine. I have it on ebay right now for sale.

I am getting a new router with Linux firmware upgrades available.

On the router issue, my linksys didn't like the power around here, bumped a bit sometimes. I put it on the UPS with the computer and haven't had a bit of trouble since, might try that.
