    updating firmware on a router

    I have a d-link router and don't know how to install the updated firmware for it

    Ok, so this you might already know

    GO to your routers web page usually 192.168.0.1 needs to be put in the adress bar of your internet browser. Sometimes it is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.10.1 or even routerlogin.com

    It should ask you for a password and username default is admin and no password

    Then there should be a tab in the software that will alow you to upload the firmware update. Do not uplug or turn off router while installing the firmware. That is the basics.

    Just don't try to do it over a wireless connection or you may end up with nothing.
