ok, first boot the pc with just the hard disk and check the bios for the hard disk. Turn if off then replace the hard disk with the CD Drive and boot and go into the bios and re-check. If it isnt their try setting the CD Drive as Primary and the HDD as slave, go into the bios and check if any of then are their.
try resetting the BIOS, disconnect the power and remove the battery, while you are at it, if the board is more thn 3 -4 years old, put a new battery in it.
