    NOTEBOOK CPU CHOICE, HELP!!!

I am about to get a notebook . The question is which cpu is better considering battery life, speed etc. I have no idea about this 2 cpus , help me make the right choice.

    1. 1.8GHz Intel® Pentium® M Processor 760 w/2MB 400/533FSB

    2. Turion 64 ML-34 1.8GHz Professor (who makes it?)

    AMD makes the Turion 64.

As personal preferance, I would get the Pentium M 760. Intel's Pentium M is a very powerful platform, and it gets great battery life when configured correctly. (I'm writing this on a machine w/ a Pentium M 1.8ghz 400mhz FSB. This machine is a year old and still very powerful.) I haven't had experience with the Turion 64 line, but from what I've read, it's about as good as the Pentium M. Clock for clock though, I think the Pentium M wins over the Turion 64.

You would need to give the other specs and pricing. cpu is only one facet.

Both are very good individually, but I would give the slight edge to the PentiumM.
