How do i Print a "Print to File" file

I have saved a printed document in using the "Print to File" option. I have the same printer at home.

How do I get my home printer to actually print the file that I have saved!

Ahh.. found a utility that does it - I'm sure Windows XP can also do it, but this seems pretty good.

Normally...when you print to file, it creates a text file, word file or PDF.

Just find that file, open it with the appropriate software, and print it...

We have several OLD legacy Oracle DBs here, and we use a terminal emulator to access the servers. We print to file, it creates a text or .csv file, which can be opened, massaged, then opened in Word or Excel...

    Nifty program...though...

Thanks, the prgram can export to CSV and Word, but the layouts would be distorted. The program is a Specialist accountancy program and the Word Export simply doesn't look the same. The 'Print to File' I was refering too is the printer driver 'Print to File' (FILE) which can be set up instead of say LPT1, COM or USB.

The problem actually relates to remote access. The monkeys who installed it forgot to re-route the printer. When I log into my office PC using my home remote connection and print - the office printer kicks in, not my home printer. You can't simply copy in remote access and paste it the file onto my home PC, so I came up with an idea for occassional printing until they fix it.

Log into my office PC using remote access (after installing my home printer driver at the office) and email the 'print to file' back to my home PC's email address from there I could then print it.

Its impossible to bring the file home, simply because the package is a specialist server based Accountancy package.

    Thanks anyway!
