Chair wheels clog with Hair ??
Anyone know of something that would dessolve hair from the wheels. It's to tight to get into and clean. the 5 wheel chair dosen't even roll due to the hair. seen a few items like veet. was getting ready to move out and look at a hardware store. or a maybe a beauty solon ? but hoping someone here might have done it already. Thanks cnn7

Best way would be to physically remove it....
Anything that would try and dissolve the hair (e.g. Caustic soda) would probably do damage to the wheels as well! Since Caustic Soda is basically Sodium Hydroxide.....which isn't the nicest stuff in the world!
Linky tells you and bit about keratin and protein and amino acids invloved....

Drain cleaner, but it might damage the wheels. Is drain cleaner the same as caustic soda?

I ended up useing an hacksaw blade. It would cut the width of the blade unlike a knife that has a sharp edge. by cutting until I felt the axle pin, I was able to pull the dog hair out. freeing it up. that tourch ideal did come to mind. sad huh. but seems to be fixed for now. Thanks guys

I'd have just used a lighter carefully. Sure, the smell of burning dog hair isn't to everyone's tastes but its quick.

Go to ur nearest beauty shop OR major supermarket that sells hair products, then look for HAIR REMOVAL CREAM FOR MEN.
and just use it on the wheels, let the hair dissolve and wash it off, done..
