    problem with whistle

    Hello,
When I use my computer( WinXP and Asus CUV4X ACPI bios) for imaging with BootitNG from Terabytes international, I get long, rather high whistle-like tones which I think come from the bios. With other use no such tones. Unfortunately I have mislaid my motherboard handbook, so I ignore what this means and what I should do.
    Please help !
    regards,
    Diderot

I can find no record of such a motherboard at the Asus website! you need to post the motherboard model number - not the BIOS number.

The model number will be printed on the motherboard itself! it is likely to be between the second (2nd) & third (3rd) PCI slots.

    welcome to sysopt.

CUV4X is the Motherboard model, and it has an Award BIOS if i'm not mistaken, so to find out what the beep code means check this link: http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm
