Sys Opt for Dummies
Hello again,
I see that I am still logged in from the last time I posted I suppose I should first of all learn how to log out ??
However my question for today is on Start, Run, MS Config, then Start up
I am running Windows XP pro
I have a lot of "things" in Start up. Some I know and recognize such as the AVG programme , Zone alarm. Skype and a few others that like to come on when I start up. How many of these are absolutely necessary? and how can I identify such things as LVComsk and ELK control. HKLM software ?
For example: I have a little icon that shows up on the start up task bar. It is trying to synchronize a weather forecast from Wunderground ?? If I click on it a window comes up and tells me that it was unsuccessful in downloading a URL. This must be in my Windows start up file but I don't know which it is? Can you help me please?
