    losing drivers

An IBM Thinkpad 1412 with win98se and lots of memory. Installed belkin f5d7010 pcmcia wireless card in my 32bit bus pcmcia slot. Software loads up fine and so does the pc card, until I have to reboot or turn off and start up again, then all drivers are gone, so I reinstall them and go thru process, works good until I turn off computer and reboot, drivers gone. Any suggestions greatly appreciated..................Ray

    Hey
Your first options is upgrade to XP and enjoy the PNP experience.
Now... i think that there is nothing that you can do because the NIC is not
an integrated part of the computer and every time you boot up, you need
    to set it up again.
Try to contact belkin support and see what they think about this...

simplejohn - I removed your signature because of the link to a gambling site.

You really need to read the AUP:

Please refrain from touting commercial sites - unless they are pertinent to technical conversation.

Is your think pad a business or school system?

If it is, it is possible they installed software to force the PC to revert back to a certain setting each time windows starts. The only way to fix it is to have the software installed and then added to the image restored at boot. See the IT department for this.

If it is a personal system, did you install a software that safeguards the PC against changes?

Please, I don`t understand, your reply to my query was "you removed my signature because of a link to a gambling site". I don`t understand, I didn`t know I had a signature and I don`t go to gambling sites. Please let me know if there is something wrong with the way I am asking questions. Thank you..........Ray
