An easy one for you please

I have a 4 port modem router with all ports used. I want to add another computer to the network, what is the best way to do this? I'm not interested in wireless.
    Thankyou

buy a switch and uplink it to your router.

Alternatively you can get (or use an existing) extra Ethernet connection on one of your computers, and hook the other computer into that. That would allow the other computer to connect to the network through one of the other computers.

Downsides are that both computers would need to be on for the one to have network access, and the one computer uses some resources to serve as the switch. If that's not a problem it can be much cheaper.

depending on the model, you can connect a pc to the uplink port with a crossover cable.
