post to the correct forum next time. we have one specifically for cpus.

you need to list the details of your cpu. if you have a nf8, then it must be a socket 754 chip.

there are a couple of different configurations for the 3200+. you need to give the specific part number:

    ADA3200AEP4AX 3200+ 2200MHz 754-Pin OμPGA 1.50V 70º C 512KB
    ADA3200AEP5AR 3200+ 2000MHz 754-Pin OμPGA 1.50V 70º C 1MB
    ADA3200AEP5AP 3200+ 2000MHz 754-Pin OμPGA 1.50V 70º C 1MB

Sounds like that's ur problem. You're probably reading the speed of the CPU which is 2200 mhz (or 2.2 ghz).

nice catch there, RR. sounds like a misunderstanding of PR versus MHz.

yes there are some Mobo that reads the Name, and others that reads the Speed

in the example of Asus Deluxe mobos, if you DO NOT OC the CPU it gives you the normal name reading.

if you OC the CPU, then it becomes and unknown CPU, so it will give you the CPU speed instead of the name
