    Internal clock running fast.

I've been having problem with windows internal clock being rather fast. Could it be the CMOS battery, or perhaps something else? If so, where would I go about getting a new one? I'm assuming the motherboard manufactuer?

cmos batteries are usually a standard coin cell. just open the case and look at the number on the top of the battery. radio shack should have 'em.

usually it would run slow with a bad battery. why do you say the clock is running fast? are you sure your system isn't syncing the time with something?

You didn't say how much it's running fast. Most internal clocks don't keep accurate time believe it or not. Some do run a bit fast, ( a few minutes a week or so ) and others run slow. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturers website and seeing if there's a fix, etc. Prolly not though.
