Experts say Afghanistan's mountains are rich in minerals, which could become a significant base for the revival of the country's shattered economy. Apart from copper, there is coal, iron, gas and oil. There is also a sparkling assortment of gemstones - emeralds, tourmalines and garnets, and the lapis lazuli mines which provided jewelry for the Egyptian pharoahs three thousand years ago.

Net gridlock by 2010 US analyst firm Nemertes Research
predicted a drastic slowdown as the network struggles with the amount of
data being carried on it. For users, the slowdown could see a return to the
bad old days of dial-up, the report predicts.

"Frankly, Windows Mobile 6 is a mess.
Common features require an infinitude
of taps and clicks, those needed most
are buried in menus. Mobile 6 team learned
nothing from Windows Mobile 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Lest you think I don’t have M$’s best interest at heart,
here’s a list of helpful suggestions. At no charge."

Huh? A new media device on my network?
Could it be that the PS3’s new support for DLNA works in Vista too?

The vest was originally made
to allow doctors to prod patients remotely, but the
company has not received approval for that
The 3rd Space Gaming Vest from TNGames takes video
game realism to the next level. Even when the viscera
look oh so wet and the gunfire is indistinguishable from
the real thing, shouldn’t a punch in the guts feel like a punch in the guts?

Nokia is introducing a cell phone that works like a debit card.
The new technology lets you download virtual cash into your mobile phone. You can then
buy train tickets, movie tickets, or pay for parking simply by swiping the handset past a reader.
The phone incorporates the pay as you go technology that several of the large credit card
companies are beginning to implement.
