    Tablet PC does not reconise Jumpdrive

    My Tablet PC will not reconise my Lexar jumpdrive unless the network cable is plugged in before i login. The jumpdrive is not damaged, i have tested it on a few desktops and laptops. I notcied that the Network adapter and USB ports are on the same IRQ which maybe why the USB port works only when the network adapter is active.

    The Tablet PC is a Portege M200 and has Windows XP, (Tablet PC edition, Version 2002 SP1) with all availble updates.

    Does anyone know whats going on here and how to fix this problem?

    have you tested other usb peripherals to find out if the problem is with the usb port or the keydrive?

    I tested the USB ports with a Sony USB2 DVD Writer. This drive will always show when i plug it to the tablet PC. I just tried a friends lexar USB stick and it seems to have the same problem as mine. I'm trying to get ahold of another brand of USB sticks to test the USB port.
