Corrupted partition, stop error on boot

I was updating the drivers on my motherboard (nForce4). Uninstalled all nvidia drivers, ran driver cleaner in safe mode to clear out the nvidia files that get left behind. Restarted, and now the system gave me a stop error (0x0000007B). I ran XP recovery console and can see all but one of my partitions (not a major one, just used for storage). CHKDSK /R says the partition has unrecoverable errors. Is there a way to repair it from recovery console?? It's an SATA drive and I don't have another system that supports SATA. Thanks.

You should have mentioned your motherboard model. If it uses nVidia SATA controllers, you have your answer - you uninstalled your storage driver.

Boot up again and use the SATA driver floppy after pressing F6 during startup. Continue and choose Install. Setup will see the Windows installation and ask if you want to Repair. Do so.

Yup, that did it. I uninstalled the SATA driver. I did a repair installation and now all is back to normal. Thanks.
