    HP Mouse Cursor

I recently purchased an HP Computer with XP OS. The mouse cursor on this system will constantly jump to the left of the screen & move rapidly up & down the left edge while working. This is very annoying. Any ideas on how to prevent it from doing this?

    Replace the mouse.

    Mouse Problem

Swapped out the wireless mouse with a hardwired one. Works fine. Not sure why the wireless mouse acts the way it does. Thanks for replys.

Could be a bad mouse. Could be interference. Could be bad batteries. Who knows really

To add, it could be an optical mouse on a bad surface. Try using a white piece of printer paper.

Let me know if that helps.

White pieces of paper are my mousepads in my house :-D
