    video card problem?

    i have an ati aiw 9700 pro. of the past few days i have been getting these lines on my screen. like this


    never since i have had this card has it done this (about 2 years i think). I just installed the latest drivers, but still the lines appear. They usually happen when i browse, but that is for the most part all i do on the pc. Temperature issue maybe?

    The only thing close to that I have ever seen was when I had a monitor going out on me.

    moved to video forum.

    it looks more like bad ram than a temp issue. you can try cleaning the fan, etc, but i would start shopping for a new card.
