    I pod mini question.

A friend of mine has asked me to put a lot of music on a new I pod for their son. I have copied all his music from the cd's to the I pod without any problems, but my question is :

The I pod instruction booklet only says that it can connect with an USB2 connection.

Does anybody know if this applies also for charging the ipod batteries ? or can this be done with an USB1 connection.

They are in the process of buying a new PC,but they were not thinking of buying one immediately, and the PC they have at the moment is an old P2 with windows 98 without an USB2 connection.

The Ipod is an Ipod mini 4GB

    thanks midnyte.

At least that will keep the Ipod charged until he can transfer his own music on his new PC.

    not in Holland.

    The 6Gb costs €50.00 more (about $65.00)

The cheapest over here available for the 4GB mini was €195.00. Which translates to $260.00 !!!!

It's a different world over here.

Anyway it was a birthday present from the parents for a 10 year old boy. I agree with you that the larger HDD is much better value for money, but it gets to the point of being ridiculous what you can end up spending on just a birthday.
