    SysOpt page loading

I've noticed the home page loads slowly with Firefox - the bulk of the page is black and 10 seconds later the page loads normally. In IE only the first part of the page loads. This happens on 2 machines and has been the case for the last few days. No other sites seem to be afflicted.

    Any others experience this?

I had never been to the home page so I just went there.

    Same for me using Mozilla.

We had some server issues last Thursday and Friday that caused slow page loading. Works fine for me now in IE.

I haven't seen any problems. I would suggest doing a traceroute to www.sysopt.com and seeing if a router along the way is causing it.

I have been fighting a general surfing problem for about a month. The machine I am currently using is an upgrade for my Sister in Law. It only has Internet Explorer ver 6 installed, but I am getting ready to go get a copy of FireFox.

Today, I tried for nearly and hour to get to eBay to check on a camera that would be up at 1:10 PM, I finally got to it at 3 minutes to 1 PM...it was too high, so I did not bid...but, the slowness of the web has been bugging the heck out of me.

The machine has her Juno account on it, so I tried Juno web...and the Juno browser...it connected to any site I wanted to go to. Now, I opened a copy of I.E....and tried to go to the same site with IE and Juno browser (connected to Juno...instead of my ISP, Bellsouth). The Juno browser left IE in the dust..all pages loaded quickly with Juno, most pages timed out using IE.

BpB, I am now using MyVital Agent, man o man.. love that utility, I can see and compare whats happening..if I just knew enough to completely understand what I am seeing.

Anybody know what coding Juno uses for their browser/application? Mozilla or what?

Well, installing FireFox is not the (complete) answer. I am still having timeouts on both FireFox and I.E.

Only thing left is an over sold ISP.

Time to try a different ISP I guess. (I had to D/L FireFox using Juno servers)...could not connect to the http://www.mozilla.org/ site good enough to get it using Bellsouth.

Try uninstalling juno and just setup a standard dialup then see if IE works better, thought I read something about juno taking over the dialup connection. Run the setup in internet options/connections tab.

You guys are talking about browsers and ISPs. My problems is only with the Sysopt home page - and it hasn't gotten better. No other sites are affected.

    same slow page load

getting the same thing here. (slow home page load ONLY AT SYSOPT)
IF I HIT THE "STOP" button page draws quickly. it appears to be related to the ads on the page. i know the ads are important but they shouldn't interfere with the site.
