    High capacity hard drive

My computer has an A7V-133 board, Rev. 1003A. I wish to install a Seagate 160 Gig hard drive. Will this board and BIOS recognize all 160 Gigs? Is there a BIOS update available if it won't?

    Thanks.......

    Welcome to Sysopt!

You can check at asus for a bios update plus you can also use the seagate utility to setup the drive if there is no bios update.

    A7V133 Beta BIOS 1010.01B
    Support 48 Bit HDD

So, yes, your motherboard will recognize all 160gb without overlay software. Provided you use above mentioned beta BIOS.

Find the BIOS update for your motherboard at:
    http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us

Asus changed their support website (again), so I can't direct link to a specific motherboard (yet).
