Bag for the buck
I decided I wanted to take the jump into a new 64bit cpu and pci-e so I went shopping at my favorite place to spend money NEWEGG . Point of this post is sapphire dumped the price on the x700pro card to where they are hard to pass up. Granted they are a tad slower then the 6600gt but they are also 40 to 50 dollars cheaper now. Here is a link to what I think is a great deal for a good name card in the pci-e market.

I mean you are talking about 5 to 10 fps in most games and 100 to 200 on the benchmarks diffrence between the x700pro and the 6600gt. When they were the same price it was a no brainer but to me 40 to 50 dollars cheaper for such a small diffrence make the x700pro a good choice.

IMO id have paid the extra 40 50 bucks for the 6600GT. but still the x700 is not bad, just not as good as the 6600gt.

I agree the 6600gt is a better card. I guess it gets down to what 200 points and a few fps is worth to ya. For me 40 to 50 bucks on a 200ish dollar card is it heh. Thats bang for the buck
