questions about the 64
i havent really been staying up to speed on the whole 64 bit thing and now i need a little info.
1. what is the difference between a socket 939 and a socket 754, is one preferred over the other?
2. Is an amd 64 2800+ going to be faster than a barton 2800+?
3. What is the difference between the winchester core, the Newcastle core and the clawhammer core?
I am building a couple new computers and need to know this information before i buy
Thanks

1. 939 supports dual channel ram configs. 754 is only single. 939 should be able to support dual core cpus. 939 has a longer production life.
2. the 64 would be faster

Abit makes pretty solid boards. MSI, DFI, Asus are all good too.
