    mobo and fans

    mobo-ecs n2u400-a i know its a cheapo....

    case fans-hsd 8025 with the 4 pin molex?

    i want to monitor fan speeds
    i have the fans hooked up to the power suply rightnow..
    my mobo has pins for case fans and power fan that i dont use
    can the mobo run 6 or 8 fans safely???
    do i buy a fan speed controller/monitor???or can i do it with the mobo????? the fans wont plug directly into it ..diferent plugs..


    what do i do???

    I don't like to hook *any* fans to the motherboard. If a cheap fan freezes up, it will take the motherboard with it. I connect directly to the power supply. If I need to control speed, I use a controller:

    Frankly, using 6 fans is begging for noise control. Why do you feel that you need so many? You don't have to put a working fan in every single mount you know.

    if you want to Monitor the Fans, you can still use the Molex fan, but get the ones that has the Yellow wire or just buy it separately and connec that to the mobo

    but for power, use the molex power
