    XFX 5200 problems...

    Got a friend who just bought a XFX5200 video card and it won't play certain games, like Madden football. He says the colors are a smeared and game play is very choppy. He said he got the latest drivers from their website.

    I saw where it was a "PCI" card not a "AGP" card. Will that have a major effect like he's talking about?

    Any thoughts??

    Tell him to turn the settings and\or resolution down. The fx5200 is an extremely weak card.

    Yep. The 5200 doesn't have too much mojo, especially if it's the PCI version. Definitely tune down the settings. Go into the nvidia display properties and set the card for best performance.

    He called later this evening and said he found some nvidia driver for the card and it worked for him....
