    Windows XP restrictions?

I want to know is it possible to have restrictions put on user PC, i want to be able to block certain programs for a user who is logged on as a Limited user, and of course the admin would have full rights, meaning, i want the the Limited User to only be able to use word, excel, and Internet Explorer -- can this be done without having to use a Server environment????

    Thanks

you can use group policy to create restrictions. you can also put restrictions on the .exe file itself using ntfs permissions.

well i guess you have a "bug" that is causeing your .msc extensions not to work, do any of the .msc work, try "services.msc", to test to see if any of the .msc work
