System shutdown repeatedly and can't shutdown later!

    Hi there!
I have a problem with my system. After i remove my 512MB RAM Kingmax and
install a new 256MB RAM (for test programs), my system becomes unstable: everytime i shutdown my pc, it'll automatically restart then after one day when i choose shutdown, my system hangs, can't shutdown or restart until i press power button to force its shutdown. What's wrong with my system? Viruses or spywares? Please help me!
    Thanks guys!

Does the system go back to work properly when you put your 512 mb of Kingmax back in and remove the 256 mb of whatever kind it is?

The new ram is bad or incompatible .
    Test it with Memtest86
