    Adobe Photoshop CS Problems

I just download the tryput version of this software as my wife is a photographer and picture fanatic. it downloads as a zip file. the file data2.cab is damaged or corrupt according to error message.

is there anyway to recover or fix this? winzip/winra have proved to be worthless in repair.

I would recommend redownloading the file from Adobe. They could just have a bad copy or your download may have a glitch.

I am not sure if there is a free repair utility out there. In the past (DOS Days) I used PKZIPFIX.EXE. You could try one of those.

I would say their hosted file is corrupt then.

I think you can still find Zip fix utilities. Go to http://www.pkware.com/ and see if you can still download their dos utilities. I never found any limtis besies them asking you to register. But I have not purchased a new copy of their software since I found free zip software.

I could not see your image. It says there is one error but the entire top of the image is blank.

I know what you mean because I have run across the problem before. It happened to me two days ago with a service manual I downlaoded from Dell. Extracting the PDF service manual was impossible because of an error in the ZIP.

I downlaoded a new copy and it fixed my problem. Since you got a corrupt copy twice you can only try to repair the ZIP.
