i pre order mine at gamestop around the corner. and the girl (witch must be new, i never seen her there before) told me it was going to be there for pick up the 17th, hope she didn't know what she was talking about...
cool, well I had just reformated my HDD the other day and forgot to back up my steam files, so its downloading at home now, it should be done by the time I get of work I hope.
Same here, EBGames was supposed to have shipped it yesterday. When I checked today I found out they had my account on hold, I called to find out why and it was because they didn't have anymore to ship (that took a bit of prodding on my part after they gave me BS). Then why still advertise the wrong date up to it (doesn't that sound familiar for this game). Time value of money - that is why I generally don't preorder. Made an exception and now I'm going to stick to not preordering even if the next title I want will be hard to find in stores. I then hit newegg up and it was ordered and already is out the door (3 hours) - and that order was placed today. Very impressed with newegg, think EB is sleaze though (knew that before, but of all vendors, I'd figure they'd be well stocked, apperently not if they can't fill pre-orders).
Ill be playing tomorrow night I oderd it off steam, I ran that Video stress test and I got 99.23 FPS is that good or bad? Im not to fermilure with it so I dont wee know laddy.
well gamestop called me today, to tell me that my copy of Half Life 2 collector edition will be ready for pick up tomorrow morning. I'll be waiting at there door for when they open...
and where did you get the stress test for this game...
do you guys think my system, that i build 9 months ago for this particular game, will be able to run it on High or better...

Im sure you only get it when you order of steam, dont quote me on it though, your system looks like it will handle it easy, I have the 6800GT to, Im honestly looking forward to playing it, after all my whining about delays and so on
The stress test is a CS:S only thing, and yes, its only been available for Steam buyers so far...come tomorrow the retail people will be able to try it.

I made a mistake, on my order on the Amazon site it said expected delivery was 1st October 2003, that was clearly a mile off
