water cooling system
about how often, if at all, should you have to change out the water?

You should be using distilled water with additives to kill algae along with corrosion inhibitors. Corrosion inhibitors have a limited life and you should go with the manufacturers recommendations. I used to change mine (back when I ran wet) out every 6 mo. or so but I know of people who have never touched theirs and have run for several years.
Enjoy!

If I was smart, I would have rigged something up to drain the whole system by from the bottom of my rad and out from the bottom of the case, oh well.. next time

This is where my signature would go if I wasn't so lazy.
